Try Not to Smile at What Schenectady Server Did for Local Family
We all need a little good news to get us through a Wednesday and this amazing local story will sure put a smile on your face.
Brianne Denofio's 7-year-old son suffers from epilepsy decided to celebrate his one-year being seizure free at Mexican Radio in Schenectady, according to the Daily Gazette. Denofio decided to sneak a note to their server Chris Vonszilassy about the celebration and he knew he had to do something. She asked him to maybe surprise her son with a dessert and some candles, but Vonszilassy didn't stop there.
Vonszilassy not only gave them chips and salsa to take home (it's Denofio's son's favorite), when he brought out the check, he placed it on the table and just said "All set." Vonszilassy had paid for the bill.
Vonszilassy said that the young boy reminded him of his brother who underwent treatment for Burkitt’s lymphoma at Albany Medical Center. Thankfully, his brother is now in remission so he understands the importance of each celebration.
