Travis Tritt got the singing bug after his church’s Sunday school sang the Ray Steven’s song “Everything Is Beautiful.” When he was eight years old, he got his first guitar and taught himself how to play it. When he was a little older, Travis got together with some friends and formed a Bluegrass group.

Before becoming a country star, he did a few other jobs. He worked as a clerk in a supermarket and a furniture store. When he was working at an air conditioning company, he would also be playing in the bars and clubs.

As time went on, a Warner Brothers executive took a tape of Travis and sent it to Warner Brothers, where they finally signed Travis to their label. He recorded “Country Club” in 1988, and that became a hit in 1989. Travis has been going strong ever since.

Here's one of his hits "Great Day To Be Alive."

We would like to wish Travis Tritt a very happy birthday.
