I was part of the draft lottery in the early '70s, and got a very high number so I never served.   But I know a lot of guys who either weren't so lucky, or who enthusiastically enlisted.  Either way, I bow to all of you who did serve our country, and want to do my part here and let you recognize yourselves!

I'll start, if you don't mind.  Morton Phillips, my late father, served in World War II in the 866th Engineer division.  He actually was a translator.  Knew Spanish very well, and also was a wiz at morse code (what the heck is that, you say?  He was discharged honorably however from the Philippines after 2 years due to malaria!  But he was always extremely proud of being a vet and spoke of it often.  He actually is one of the first to be buried at the Saratoga National Cemetery as well.

Ok, now it's your turn.  In the comment section, you can leave a person's name, branch of service, and a message if you wish.  We are linked to Facebook as you know, so I'm sure many will see it!   Happy Veteran's day to all from us at the Sean and Richie Show
