Capital Region schools will be back in session very soon and there are districts that need to fill many positions. Bethlehem Central School District is looking to hire bus drivers. The best thing is that you don't need to have a commercial license to apply and you can try them out.

To make it as easy as possible to hire school bus drivers, Bethlehem Central Schools is allowing those interested to test drive their big yellow busses or just take a ride in one to apply for a bus aide according to CBS 6 Albany.

I think bus drivers are such an important part of our kids' school days. Ryan's bus driver is amazing. She always asks how he is and knows about all his extra activities. She really makes a difference. Just think about it, a bus driver is the first person who sees your child in the morning and the first one to find out how his school day was. We need more bus drivers like that.

If you are interested in becoming a bus driver or aide for the Bethlehem Central School District, there is an open house on Monday from 9:30 am to 11:30 am. You can learn more about what it takes to be a bus driver in Bethlehem. You need to make an appointment. You also much be twenty-one or older with a clean driving record. There are flexible, part-time schedules and starting pay is $19.47 per hour. You will also receive training to get your commercial license. To set up your appointment, call 518-439-3830.
