In case you somehow missed it (though it was all over the news and social media), the 'Simpsons' recently had an episode where it made fun of Upstate New York.  It even hit close to home, with Niskayuna making an appearance as part of the episode...

It looks like people are leaving New York. In fact, more people are leaving than any other state nationally, to be accurate. Apparently, New York tops the states for population loss, with the highest rate nationally.  According to cbs 6 Albany, 48,510 people left New York from July, 2017 to July, 2018...

While there's a push to make recreational marijuana legal in 2019, some local colleges are getting more strict and going completely smoke-free in the new year. Cigarettes, vaping, marijuana, Ecigarettes, hookahs- doesn't matter if it's legal or not,  it's all not allowed on two more local campuses starting in 2019...

Amidst a slew of domestic allegations pitted against Cohoes Mayor Shawn Morse, Governor Andrew Cuomo issued a stern statement on Sunday afternoon. Cuomo called for the dismissal of the Cohoes Mayor stating that he 'must resign'.

Allegations made against New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman by former romantic partners have prompted him to resign on Monday, just hours after a shocking report in The New Yorker.  Four of his former partners have alleged that Schneiderman hit them as well as becoming verbally and mentally abusive towards them - often after drinking binges.

Over the weekend news broke that the Chicks were using a photo of Donald Trump that had been defaced behind them as they sang "Goodbye Earl" in concert...

We would really like to get your opinion on this! It's a political year, Albany is a political town, and frankly, Sean and I are political minded people!  But, do you want to hear our opinions on the matter? That's the question. You can't get on the internet, turn on the TV, or open a newspaper or magazine without being bombarded with political news stories and commentaries...
