Is the lobster you're paying for in New York actually lobster?

You may be planning to spend your hard-earned money to enjoy a lobster dish with your sweetheart for Valentine's Day at a fancy schmancy New York restaurant, but, is it really lobster?

When many visit their favorite seafood restaurants, lobster or some recipe featuring the popular crustacean is usually one of their top choices on the menu. However, some New Yorkers may not find the tasty favorite as one of their choices anymore. A movement is putting the claw on the North Atlantic lobster industry and food providers are booting the seafood delicacy off of their menus.

A Market 32 in Brunswick found an extremely rare orange lobster in a July shipment. Rather than end up on a plate, that lucky lobster now has a new home.

A restaurant in Maine, famous for it's lobsters, admitted something rather interesting recently.  They get their live lobsters 'high' off the THC from marijuana before boiling them.

There have been a few very rare lobsters found in the Capital Region in the past year. In each case a different color has been discovered. This time is no different. A rare colored lobster has been found in a local Price Chopper.

When I shop at the local supermarkets for lobster, I try not to think of where they come from. Don't get me wrong, I love lobster, but when I see them in the tanks, I get a little sad. Well for one lucky orange lobster, it's his lucky day.

When a shipment of 250 pounds of lobster came into the Market Bistro in Latham over the weekend, store employees knew there was something unusual about one of the lobsters in the crate.  What they didn't realize was just how unusual the orange crustacean actually was!

This isn't Sponge Bob Square Pants, right? Like, this is real life? I feel like I need to check because this is the weirdest, yet coolest thing I think I've ever seen.
