Who failed who?

In the state of New York more and more businesses are requiring their employees to be vaccinated to work there.

Following an embarrassing drubbing at the hands of the Patriots, and an 0-5 start to this NFL season, the Washington Redskins have fired their head coach Jay Gruden.  This comes after a video surfaced of Gruden showing the embattled coach, alleged to be in Saratoga at the time, smoking weed or a cigarette while trying to pick up some much younger women.

A Rochester meteorologist was fired after he appeared to utter a racial slur regarding Martin Luther King Jr. on live TV over the weekend.  He claims it was just a slip-up, but station management decided otherwise after much public outcry. Watch the clip for yourself.  Do you think it was an honest mistake?

Imagine your child getting dropped off at home by school bus only to find out later - perhaps during dinner conversation - that their driver allowed them to take the wheel? This actually happened, and there's video to prove it, and the driver is facing serious charges.

Nobody likes to start over. Whether it is a project around the house, an email, a student doing a paper or in life in general.

I must admit, I did not see this coming.  Joe Girardi, who's been the leader of the Yankees since 2008 is out as manager.

Would the Albany, Schenectady, Glens Falls or Troy FD handle it the same way? A probationary firefighter was fired recently because he brought in a watermelon (complete with a bow) as a gift to the veteran members of the station.  Some of his African-American co-workers were offended, some were not, but he was promptly fired.

Kathy Griffin sounded desperate and angst ridden as she begged for forgiveness after an "artistic" photograph was published of her holding the the severed, bloody head of Donald Trump. For most it was too gruesome to be taken lightly and (as we predicted on the morning show today) less than 24 hours after the picture buzzed on the internet, Griffin was fired by employer CNN.

Even at age 79, Carol Thebarge a substitute teacher from Charlestown, New Hampshire  is a big Facebook user.  And, a lot of her "friends" happen to be her students. Carol has been a substitute teacher for the past 35 years. One of the schools where she works is Stevens High School in Claremont, New Hampshire - a lot of her Facebook friends are from that school...

We talked about this on the show today, it actually kind of blows my mind. There are so many different angles to look at it from, and it certainly seems to be a set back in the "women's movement".

Sometimes you think you're doing the right thing, but you're really not. This happened when Roger Kline thought he may have saved the day when a thief tried to make good with over $1,600 in merchandise, but his instinct to tackle the sticky-fingered customer didn't save his job. In fact, it got him fired.
