This is always a difficult bit for me to put together.  It takes discipline to write a News of the Week song every week,  but it was my New Year's resolution to try to do this on a more regular basis.

You can say what you want pro or con about President Obama, but at least he's realistic.  At least he's a little bit sensitive to the interests of the  politically conscious, news hungry American public.  Get this-

I wish I saved the airsick bag from my last Southwest Airlines flight.  I need it this morning.  Or at least I thought I did.  Did my "headline" grab your attention?  Just when you finished chastising your kids for watching garbage on TV, i.e. Jersey Shore, guess what subject pops up on the SAT college entrance exams??

There are certain characters on TV that, once they are established, become synonymous with the show.   Face it, as much as Charlie Sheen has disrupted "Two And A Half Men", you and I well know that the show is nothing without him.

Don't believe me?  I'll make a fairly long story short, but I honestly did, with a picture to prove it.

Don't you HATE people who do that?   Your friends will describe a movie they just saw and go just a LITTLE too far with the plotline.   I don't want to know the ending, but in case you do, "there's an app for that"

Sorry, but although I'm usually happy to hear that we're going to a museum, when I get there, I get "antsy".  Just being honest.  Maybe I ain't got no culture?  No, not necessarily....  it has to be the right kind of museum. You feel the same?

You can almost predict who will win the Academy Rewards on Sunday.  (They're not MY predictions, mind you.  I ain't that smart).  But this guy does makes sense..

Not sure if you know this or not (or care!), but before I got into this crazy little thing called radio,  I was a piano bar player!  I played some wacky places, but never like this!

You knew it would happen sooner or later.  As soon as you heard the story of Julian Assange and Wikileaks, you probably said to yourself “sounds like something you’d see in the movies”.  Be careful what you wish for…

Very exciting!  The Golden Globe Awards, Sunday nite on NBC starting at 8PM.   This is the 68th Awards Show, by the way.  (No, I don't remember the first one, Sean!!!)
