A.C. Moore Arts and Crafts will close all of its locations nationwide. There is a plan for a handful of their stores but the store as we know it is going out of business.

It's May 18th and in other words, it's 5/18 or 518 Day! I've lived in the Capital Region my entire life and I love supporting not only my hometown of Schenectady but the entire area I come from so Happy #518Day!

The arts....Oh man, could I do 50 blogs on THIS subject.  When in doubt, just feel free to chop it out of the school curriculum without giving it a second thought.  It wasn't that important anyway (excuse me while I wipe up the dripping sarcasm). However, there is a bright light in this depressing tunnel— the Arts Center of the Capital Region, located in downtown Troy.

'The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas' will make it's debut at the Saratoga Arts Center on July 13, 2013. The Local Actors Guild of Saratoga invites you to join the fun and sing a long with some rip-roarin' honky tonk music.

If you're looking to get in the holiday spirit, gather up the family and head to Capital Rep in Albany. The Christmas Classic 'It's A Wonderful Life' has been transformed into a 70 minute one-man play.

Capital Rep is one of our great treasures in the Albany area. The 31st season brought the Capital Region of New York some great theater with 'Black Pearl Sings' 'The Sisters of Rosenweig' and 'Superior Donuts.' The intimate downtown Albany theater is ending the season with a great comedy titled 'God Of Carnage.'

The Mac-Hayden Theater in Chatham is presenting "Always...Pasty Cline" now through September 18.  The show captures an era of Country Music that is quickly being forgotten with humor, class and that notable Pasty Cline sass.
