New York State Best In U.S. For Summer Road Trips
If you've already started thinking about summer road trips, you're definitely not alone. There is just something about packing up the car, listening to your favorite road trip songs, and seeing where the road takes you.
Now, a new study from WalletHub has given New Yorkers even more reason to hit the highway. The Empire State was ranked the fourth best state in America for a road trip.
What Made NY State Finish Second?
To compile the rankings, WalletHub compared all 50 states across 32 factors that can make or break a road trip. They looked at factors like gas prices, road conditions, safety, attractions, camping costs, and how easy it is to find places to stay along the way.
New York scored especially well thanks to the incredible variety of experiences packed into one state. Few places can offer the range of destinations you'll find here.
What Does New York Offer?
You can spend a weekend exploring the mountains of the Adirondacks, take in the beauty of the Finger Lakes wine region, hike through the Catskills, or stand in awe of Niagara Falls.
If you're looking for charming small towns, lakeside villages, amusement parks, historic sites, or scenic back roads, New York has plenty of those too.
