Beagle / Terrier Mix, Chocolate Lab in Today’s Steve Caporizzo’s Pet Connection
If you missed "Pet Connection" today on the " Sean and Richie Show", here is another chance for you to take a look at a couple of great pets up for adoption. We would love to thank our sponsor The Animal Hospital in Guilderland for their help in getting these pets new homes. Let's take a look at the pets featured today.
OLIVER - Beagle/Terrier mix, male, ~5 years. Oliver's age is truly a mystery - estimates have ranged from 3 to 8. He is a little guy who weighs 17 lbs. He was found abandoned in a parking lot, and was dragging his hind legs, probably as a result of blunt trauma injury. He seems to have fully recovered from this, and not even a limp remains. Despite his troubles his spirit and love of the world and everyone in it has remained intact. Oliver plays with the dogs in his foster home and ignores the cats. He crates well during the day but does not need to be crated at night - he likes to sleep in his bed in his foster mom's bedroom. Oliver is great on leash and just loves to go for a walk. He gets excited when he sees other dogs and wants to meet them all. This is one sweet, happy and resilient little guy who is just looking for a nice home and someone to love him!
JUDDY - Chocolate lab, male, 7 years. Juddy is 80 lbs of love. This is a sweet boy looking for a quiet home to spend his golden years. Even though he is a mature gentleman he still has energy and enthusiasm for life, and loves to run around in the back yard almost as much as he napping at his owner's feet. Juddy is looking for a new home because while he is good with children, too much activity and noise make him anxious. He would be fine with visiting children, or older children in a calm home, but he is a boy to prefer a schedule and some quiet times for naps and contemplation. He plays well with other dogs but would be just as happy as an only dog. Juddy is in good health and is working to lose a few pounds and get a bit more trim. He also has a fatty cyst on his chest that a vet has looked at and says its removal would be purely cosmetic. Juddy is a puller on leash but with more practice we hope he settles down.
