I saw an article over this past weekend in the T.U.that really frosted me. It was about parents being too friendly with their kids and not doing their "jobs".

The article mentioned parents dressing like their kids, posting their pictures on Facebook -"liking them"on there and even going to some of their events.

When I mentioned it to my husband he said, "Of course you're mad, you are one of those parents."

I'll admit it, to some extent I am but, sorry, the days of the dictator parent are numbered. What's wrong with really getting to know your kid while you are still young enough? I've found out more about her fears and insecurities by reading her Facebook comments and talking with her and her girlfriends at a few of their parties than I ever would if she locked herself in her room and was uncommunicative like most families with teenagers. My husband and I are really arguing about this now. No one sees my point of view. Do you?
