Maren Morris is Engaged! [PHOTO]

Since coming over to WGNA, I've found that there are so many country singers that I like but never really knew a lot about. One artist in particular stood out as an early favorite of mine and now she's engaged!

Early on, when I heard some of Maren Morris' music there was just an instant connection, her music spoke to me and I honestly became star struck when I got to interview her at Taste of Country this year. I follow her on Instagram and was so happy for her when she posted a picture of a beautiful ring. Maren Morris is engaged!

Morris and Ryan Hurd have been dating since December 2015 but had been friends since 2013. You can see on each of their Instagrams just how happy they make each other, could they be the up-and-coming country relationship goals? According to People.com, Maren said “We had been friends for only a couple of years, but there was always this writing chemistry in the room, and eventually, the timing of it was undeniable....we were like, ‘Why are we avoiding this?’"

Each posted on Instagram about the day, Hurd showing a picture of the two of them going out on a boat right before he popped the question and Morris shared a picture of the two of them after the fact as well as a close up of the out of the ordinary ring in her Instagram story.
