There are 62 counties in the state of New York. Regarding quality of life, the #1 spot is in the Capital Region.

What do you love about living in the Capital Region?

From my perspective, one of the great benefits is no matter what type of lifestyle you prefer, you can find it in the greater Albany area. If your preference is rural living, being a city dweller, or maybe somewhere in between in suburbia, you can find your home here. There is a living space for everyone!

While you can find these personal preference zones all over the Capital Region, there is one local county that offers them all along with plenty of culture. Also, by New York standards, this county offers a cost of living that is a little more affordable.

Saratoga Country Named New York's #1 Country To Live In

I may be a little biased because I live there, but I could not agree more with Saratoga County being ranked as the #1 county in the state. The stats back up HomeSnacks case, with the 3rd lowest unemployment rate and the 7th highest median income in the Empire State.

Then there are the real-life highlights we know and love locally: Saratoga Springs offers city life with a small-town feel, great entertainment, restaurants and bars, and so much more.

Want a more quaint downtown vibe? Check out the bustling restaurant scene in Ballston Spa.  Want a suburb feel with goods and services close by? Clifton Park is it. Want space and plenty of nature? Galway is the place to call home!

It is simple - Saratoga Country is a great place to live!
