Salute to Seniors: We Honor Amy Forbert of Saratoga Springs
Every week we are teaming up with American Senior Magazine to honor a great local Senior.
Our honoree this week is Amy Forbert of Saratoga Springs! Her daughter Suzanne, who nominated Amy, tells a story of a dedicated, hard-working community-minded woman who is 90 years young!
Amy has always been 'ahead of her time' according to her daughter who says '...In a time when women were not all educated or building careers, she won a Fulbright Scholarship with her near-perfect grades and studied in Europe, and went on to be an editor for Women's Day magazine and HBO.'
When Amy retired to Saratoga Springs she started volunteering at the local library and church, plus worked with Taylor's Heroes, a non-profit formed as a tribute to her grandson, Taylor. At 90 years young, Amy has lived and continues to live an amazing life, make life better for those around her in Saratoga. Amy - we salute you!
As our featured Senior this week, Amy will be honored on the air and will receive a $50 gift card to a local mall and a one-year subscription to American Senior Magazine.
