Usually it's the Halloween decorations that gets everyone afraid but this year, someone in Rotterdam is causing a commotion over Christmas!

If you're not familiar with the Christmas classic "National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation," first, watch it. If you don't know the story, it's about a man named Clark Griswold who wants to create the best Christmas possible for his family but in the process, everything goes wrong. He wants his house to be the most lit, the tree to be the biggest, but nothing goes to plan.

One part of the movie, Griswold goes up to the top of his house to staple some of his Christmas lights on the roof when he falls. That's when he slips down his roof and ends up hanging just by the gutter and not very close to the ladder.

One house on Crestwood Drive in Rotterdam decided to go off of that and made a Clark Griswold hanging off of their roof as a decoration. In years past, it used to be a light show but the cost understandably just got to be too much for them. It looks so realistic that someone posted in the Rotterdam Watch Facebook group to warn people that "this is not a real person this is a Clark Griswold decoration." So if you're driving through Rotterdam (or elsewhere) and see this, make sure it's not just Clark Griswold before you call the police. Luckily, Rotterdam PD have had a good sense of a humor about it and the calls they've received.
