A runway pot-bellied pig was rescued in Rensselaer County thanks to a good samaritan and the Rensselaer County Sheriff's Office
The pig, apparently named Gilbert, had been galavanting through town on Monday when it was spotted by a good samaritan, who called it to the police.
"A passerby contacted Deputies to report a pig on the loose. Deputies stayed with the pig until the owner was located and could bring him back home.
Needless to say, Gilbert the pig was happy to be reunited with his owner! - Rensselaer County Sheriff's Department
