Redwood Lanes Bowling Alley in Colonie Files For Chapter Seven Bankruptcy
Financial issues have forced the owners of Redwood Lanes in Colonie, to file for Chapter Seven bankruptcy this week.
The business, which has 24 lanes, also has a little piece of history. Redwood Lanes hosted the first live television broadcast of the Professional Bowlers Association - Pro Bowlers Tour on ABC TV in 1962.
According to a story in The Business Review, Redwood Lanes reported debts and assets of more than $600,000. A decline in revenue and sales at the bowling alley over the past couple of years have created a bad financial situation.
On a personal experience at Redwood Lanes - This is the one place that I took my son Jayson, bowling for their 'Rock N Bowl' special, a few years ago.
