Queensbury Grad to Appear on “The Voice” This Season
We had Sawyer Fredericks, Moriah Formica - there's something about the Capital Region that gets the attention of "The Voice" judges and the next one is from Queensbury.
Delaney Silvernell, a 2014 Queensbury graduate will be making her debut on the 15th season of "The Voice" on September 24th at 8:00PM. Silvernell's music teacher said she knew at a young age that Silvernell had a vocal gift just by singing on her karaoke machine, according to the Post Star.
Silvernell isn't allowed to speak to press until after the Blind Auditions so we don't know if she makes it and if she does, which team she chooses yet. She can't even share the results with her friends and family. What we do know is that she describes herself as a pop and R&B singer so I'm curious to see what song she'll choose for her audition.
Speaking of her voice, the Post Star says, "Her hugely powerful voice earned her a standing ovation starring as Aida in the musical “Aida” during her senior year" which isn't an easy part to pull off. Since then, she's released an EP, graduated from the Berklee School of Music in December, and now her family is living in Los Angeles to make her dreams come true. Now, we'll just have to watch "The Voice" next week to see how far she makes it on the show!
