The U.S. Postal Service were suspicious of a package that was sent to Patrick J. Hogan’s house in Colonie.

In a story that I read in the Times Union, the suspicious package was sent from a bogus address in California.  Hogan had several other packages sent to his house in Colonie, but this one had 2.3 ounces of pot in it. That was confirmed after an inspection by U.S. Postal Service officials, which lead to his arrest on Wednesday.

Police also searched Hogan’s house. That’s when they found a sawed off shotgun. Besides Hogan being charged of criminal possession of marijuana, he also was charged with criminal possession of a weapon. Hogan was sent to the Albany County Jail without bail. You have to wonder what else this guy had delivered to his house.
