Koto Japanese Restaurant Expanding to Saratoga County!
One of my favorite hibachi places is Koto in Latham near the Albany International Airport. Who can forget their catchy tv commercial with their own Koto song?
I was thrilled to hear that they will be adding a second location in Wilton right near Walmart where the old Golden Corral restaurant is. The owner, Tehen Yu bought the restaurant for $2.125 million and is excited to open another Koto in Saratoga County according to Albany Business Review.
Koto's Owner Said This is a Lifelong Dream
Tehan Yu has been a part of Koto in Latham since he was hired as a busboy and a waiter. The opportunity to purchase Koto came about in 2013 and he always envisioned opening another location. Tehan Yu said of the new location,
It's my dream. I have been planning this for a long time.
What Are The Plans For the New Koto in Wilton?
The nine thousand seven hundred square foot Golden Corral space needs some renovations before it is ready to become Koto Japanese Restaurant. He plans on including a sushi station, ten hibachi tables, and a full bar. The restaurant will have the capacity to seas up to three hundred customers. There is also a plan to build a patio for outdoor dining.
