A popular bridal store has filed for bankruptcy. What does this mean for you if you already ordered your gowns and brides maids dresses? When you say the name, David's Bridal, you can probably name a few brides that have used the chain for their dresses. Well it was just announced that the wedding store has filed for bankruptcy protection.

According to News Channel 13, in an effort to wipe out more than four hundred million dollars in long-term debt, David's Bridal had no choice but to file. It plans to file in early January.

The good news is, David's Bridal will continue to operate as normal and there is no danger that customers who have ordered dresses will go without. All orders will be fulfilled and honored. The retailer said they will run their three hundred stores and online operations as normal while the wedding and prom dress company restructures.
