Yesterday was free ice cream day at Ben & Jerry’s, but on Friday night, someone got something else for free at the Saratoga Springs store. A man walked into the store, took a look around and then went into the stock room. He then got into a safe and helped himself to about $1,000 dollars and tip money which was for the employees to split.

It was a quiet night, so the assistant manager and owner had to leave the store for a short period of time, leaving one person to work. That’s when the robber took advantage of the situation. There is a security camera which took the suspect’s picture. The picture was on display in the store for everyone to see on free ice cream day, so many people had a chance to see the suspect.

According to the story on News 10 ABC, Saratoga Springs Police would like to know if anyone has any information about the suspect, and to give them a call at 518-584-1800.
