Police Look for Man After Armed Robbery in Lake George New York
Armed Gunman Demanded Purses
State Police in Upstate New York say they're looking for a man who held up two alleged victims recently at a high-traffic Mobil Gas Station in Lake George.
After a search, police could not locate the masked man and asked any witnesses or anyone with information about this man to step forward and help them out in their search.
State Police in New York say that on November 15, 2024, Police in Queensbury responded to the reports of an armed robbery in the area of State Route 9N in Lake George, NY.
On Friday, troopers arrived just after 9m for a robbery at the Extra Mart Mobil Gas Station located at 2389 State Route 9N (just off exit 21 of I-87 Northway) in Lake George, NY.
According to police, at around "9:00 p.m., while pumping gas, two victims were approached by a man wearing a black hoodie sweatshirt with white writing on it, black pants, white shoes, a hat, and a ski mask."
Man Walked Away, Police Still Searching
During the interaction, the man demanded both victim’s purses after revealing what appeared to be a handgun in the waistband of their pants. After stealing the items, State Police say the suspect walked eastbound on State Route 9N.
A search of the area was unable to locate the suspect. Anyone in the area who witnessed the incident or has any information related to the crime is asked to contact State Police SP Queensbury at 518-457-6811 or email crimetips@troopers.ny.gov.
