Life-Saving Efforts

Upon arriving at the apartment complex, police and EMS initiated life-saving efforts, but unfortunately, there wasn't much they could do.   The 2-year-old boy, according to the Watervliet Police, was transported to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased.

Death Remains Under Investigation

The cause of death remains under investigation, and the police will continue to have a presence at the scene.

As you'd imagine, many locals sympathized with the little boy's family and first responders while trying to understand what may have happened.

Was this an accident? Was he left alone? Was there a pool nearby?  The police will answer these questions and more in the coming days; in the meantime, may that little man rest in peace, and if necessary, justice will be served.
