Pair Of Celebs Spotted At Iconic Diner In Upstate New York
Celebs Spotted in Upstate New York
Steve Carell, the hilarious actor, comedian, writer, and producer, was recently spotted eating at a classic diner in Upstate New York, even stopping to pose for a few pictures with employees last week. It was an excellent week for the iconic diner; a day before Carell ate there, talented writer, actress, and former SNL standout Tina Fey popped in!
Carell, who played the iconic character Michael Scott in "The Office," and Andy Stitzer in "The 40-Year-Old Virgin," has been spotted quite a bit recently—about 90 minutes south of Albany—while working alongside Tina Fey in the Hudson Valley on a new Netflix show titled The Four Seasons.
What Diner Was It?
According to a post on their Instagram page, Carell and Fey were spotted eating at the iconic Yankee Clipper Diner in Beacon, New York, on separate days last week. The nostalgic, retro-looking diner has been serving delicious burgers, omelets, wraps, and famous French Onion Soup since 1946. The Yankee Clipper serves excellent food at a reasonable price, attracting even the wealthiest Hollywood celebs.
It has been owned and operated since 2003 by two sisters and their husbands, Petros and Tonia. Nikos and Katina grew up in the diner business, and their husbands—both from the Greek island of Andros—run the Yankee Clipper kitchen.
Yankee Clipper Diner No Stranger to Hollywood
The Yankee Clipper Diner was in a scene for "Nobody's Fool," a 1994 film starring Paul Newman as Sully, a stubborn man approaching retirement age. For his performance, Newman received nominations for the Academy Award for Best Actor, Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Leading Role, and Golden Globe Award for Best Actor.
