One Dead, Police Search for Driver After Albany Hit-and-Run
Sirens were screaming through parts of downtown Albany on Wednesday afternoon as first responders rushed to aid a woman struck by a hit-and-run driver just a few blocks from the Palace Theatre.
Where was the accident?
According to the Albany Police Department, police are "currently investigating" a pedestrian auto crash that occurred on Clinton Avenue near North Swan Street."
A 31-year-old woman was struck by a vehicle near that intersection which fled the scene.
The Albany Police say that a 31-year-old woman died, and investigators did not release the woman's name.

The APD announced that Clinton Avenue is closed from Lark Street to North Hawk Street until further notice.
The incident took place in Albany's Ten Broeck District, located just north of downtown Albany in an area known as Arbor Hill.
