State Police in New York broadened their search throughout the state and beyond recently in an attempt to track down and locate a brother and sister who were last seen one week before Christmas.

Police believe the children's vindictive mother is to blame for their disappearance, and they've alleged that she may not believe that common law applies to her.

According to a report in the Daily Voice, two children, 10-year-old Hope G. Cobb and her 11-year-old brother, Samuel D. Cobb of Fulton, located about 2.5 hours northwest of Albany, went missing on Sunday, Dec. 18th - and haven't been heard from since.

Police believe they were kidnapped by their mom,  Angela Cobb, who they say may have turned vindictive after losing a custody battle during a divorce case back in November of 2022.

Police don't believe that the kids are in danger, and they also think that Cobb may be living as a sovereign citizen.

If anyone knows the whereabouts of Hope and Samuel Cobb, they are asked to contact State Police at (315) 366-6000.

What's a sovereign citizen?

The majority of sovereign citizens are not violent and many will use pseudo-legal tactics in attempts to ignore certain rules, get out of debt, pay license fees and traffic tickets, etc.  However, the methods advocated by the movement are illegal

State Police have broadened their search because they believe she may have had help leaving the area with her children.

Where's Cobb headed?

It's anyone's guess, but a Trooper working on the case said she could be in Livingston County, NY,  Delray, Florida, Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, or Parker, Colorado according to the Daily Voice.

If anyone knows the whereabouts of Hope and Samuel Cobb, they are asked to contact State Police at (315) 366-6000.
