The first phase of the exit ramps opened on Sept. 27 from Albany Shaker Road to southbound of the Northway. The new flyover lane above the Northway should open soon too.

The Department of Transportation says that the majority of the project should be done by Dec. 18. This is a whole month ahead of schedule. They also state that the project is on budget.

The entire project should improve traffic flow. Data estimated that afternoon traffic delays in the area of Wolf Road and Albany Shaker Road will be reduced by fifty percent. This should also relieve congestion by thirty percent during the morning commute.
