New Place For Kids To Cool Off
As we get deeper into the summer, the weather continues to be pretty hot. There is a new place for kids in the Capital Region to cool off. After a little over a year, a brand new place for kids to keep cool has opened. According to News Channel 13, Colonie town officials declared the Mohawk River Park splash pad open this week. There were many more improvements done to the park along with the splash pad.
The two pools were furnished with new liners. Now with the new splash pad, the town hopes to attract younger kids too. The water runs on a filtration system on a continuous loop. Park employees check the water quality once an hour to ensure safety.
After a $900,000 project, the splash pad is ready. Keep in mind though, it is only open to Colonie residents.
