Splash Pad

With approval from the Schenectady City Council, millions have been secured to build the new Central Park pool project. The cost of the original project has nearly doubled but funds have been approved.

Back in July, the City of Albany asked residents to choose two designs for the new Lincoln Park Pool. The results are in and this ten-plus million dollar project will be built.

As a dangerous heat spike hits New York's Capital Region this weekend, here are places in Albany, Troy, and Schenectady to stay cool with your family.

As we get deeper into the summer, the weather continues to be pretty hot. There is a new place for kids in the Capital Region to cool off.

Plans to build the the Scotia Splash Pad started back in 2016 but it's construction  amounted to nothing more than a tiny squirt.  When problems arose from various conract issues resulting in multiple delays, many local businesses in and around Scotia stepped up and the Scotia Splash Pad in now fully operable just in time for the opressive heatwave blasting our area.
