My Sister Wants To Get Married And Not Tell Our Parents – Daily Dilemma

Here is Today's Daily Dilemma:

I will try to keep this short, though it is a little complicated. My sister wants to get married and she asked me to be her Maid of Honor. Normally I would be thrilled by this but it puts me in a very awkward situation.

My sister does not want to tell our parents she is getting married. The bottom line is my parents don't approve of her boyfriend. First, he is younger than her and second her is Catholic, we are Jewish. Maybe they are crazy old fashion but they have definitely dug in on this so I can understand my sister's wishes.

My problem is I love them all very much, I am close to both my parents and my sister. If I do this and not tell them , they will hate me. If I tell them or not go to the wedding myself, my sister will hate me.

I just don't know what to do.
