Gunshots rang out in Albany Mother's Day weekend and the two incidents sadly left one dead, and others injured - including 2 young kids who got shot during the violent crossfire.

The weather was absolutely perfect for the thousands who visited Washington Park in Albany on Mother's Day weekend for its annual Tulip Fest celebration.
And what a weekend it was, the sun was shining and families were out in full force to see the tulips, hear some live music, eat some fried foods, and celebrate Mama.
But during the day on Saturday, and again later that night, the sounds of music and families gathering in the park in Albany abruptly turned into screaming police sirens and ambulances.
One dead, one kid shot on Saturday afternoon
According to a report from News 10 ABC, Albany police are investigating a gun homicide that took place at Village Barber and Beauty on Second Avenue at around 2:45 p.m. on Saturday.
During the afternoon exchange, an unnamed person died. Police said he was 47 years old.
During the afternoon gunfire, Albany police say two more were shot, including a 9-year-old boy who they say was grazed by a bullet in his torso. Both are expected to make full recoveries.
"The two other victims—a 19-year-old man shot in the foot and a 9-year-old boy whose torso was grazed—were also treated at Albany Med for their injuries, which police said are not life-threatening." News 10 ABC
More gunfire on Saturday night and another kid was shot
The violence continued on Saturday night when according to Albany Police, more gunfire rang out at a "gathering" in the area of 2nd Street and Ontario Street at 10:30 PM.
According to News 10 ABC, when police in Albany arrived at the scene, they saw a mom holding her 7-year-old son, his hand bloodied after getting shot by a stray bullet.
The arriving officer was able to drive the young boy and his mom to Albany Medical Center where he's recovering from non-life-threatening injuries.
Later, according to News 10, a 37-year-old man, also shot in the gunfire, arrived at the hospital with a wound to his back.
