Most Searched State Park In 2025 Is In Upstate New York
I moved to New York from Arizona. Let's get one thing straight, Arizona is an incredibly naturally beautiful state, with some of the most jaw dropping national parks on earth.
Unfortunately, those parks are really all it had going for it. New York, on the other hand, is full of small state parks scattered around the state that are must-sees, and every one pales in comparison to the best state park in America.

The Most Searched for State Parks
At the end of every year, Google puts together the most trending searches in certain categories so we can see what people were interested in across America. Sure, we had a lot on our mind last year, but everyone needs some time outdoors.
So, Google put together the list of the most searched for state parks across America. Sure, there might be a lot, but only a few really stood out to most Americans, and wouldn't you know it, seems they all want to head to New York.
America's Favorite State Park
There were two state parks in Upstate New York that cracked the list's top-10. The first of which was Letchworth State Park (#6), located just over an hour from Buffalo. It's known for its stunning waterfalls, gorgeous autumn colors, and massive canyon that has to bee seen to be believed.
The cream of the crop, though, was Watkins Glen State Park, ranked as the most searched for state park in America, and for good reason. Located right in the center of the state against the Finger Lakes, its waterfalls, rock formations, and peaceful tranquility make this not only the best hidden gem in New York, but in America.
