I got to thinkin' one day (scary thought, I know) - We spend alot of time with these blogs attempting to get you to know us better.  And that's all well and good.  But the more I get out there and meet YOU, our loyal listeners, I realize that you have more interesting lives than us!   An example follows:

I went with Dorrie to an American Cancer Society fundraiser in Saratoga the other nite.  It was in a beautiful facility - Fasig Tipton - where they auction off horses.

They weren't hawking horses on this particular evening.  But they had a fantastic live auction there to raise money for a great cause.  Now to warm up the crowd, a gentleman walked onto the stage and started singing a little tune acapella style.  Maybe we should call it OPERA-apella!  And he could definitely stand in for one of the 4 Tenors.  He was awesome.

There was a very funny/uncomfortable moment however.  You couldn't have planned this.  Just as Dave Sutton belted out  a high note , one of the waitresses dropped an entire tray of Prosecco wine.  It sounded exactly like the typical cartoon where the glass shatters, except there were many more than one!  But being the pro that he was, he took it in good humor and then politely got the crowd to "refocus".

At the dinner afterwards, I walked up to him and gave him some "props" for his performance.  I then told him that I wanted to use him in my blog for the Sean and Richie show (shameless self promotion once again on my part).  Turns out he's a big listener, and owns a landscaping business on the side. An opera singin' landscaper!  Whoda thunk it?  You can check out his services at Sutton Landscape Solution in Hoosick Falls

He told me that he also appears in local productions, and can be seen soon in Man of La Mancha (but I don't know where or when!  Sorry Dave!)But for your interesting mixture of talents, we crown you the WGNA Fascinating Listener of the Week. If you know someone who you think qualifies for this coveted position, please comment below!
