March Hometown Hero Lives By Doing One Good Deed A Day
This month's Hometown Hero has worked at the same job for over thirty years where she serves selflessly in the city of Corinth. She lives by the mantra of doing one good deed a day. It could be a small act of kindness or a great big one as long as an effort is made to do one each day. Sherry Mann was nominated as our GNA Hometown Hero by her co-worker Melissa, who told us how Sherry goes out of her way each and every day not only at her job, but also for each and every person she comes in contact with. She has worked for the Adirondack Day Program for thirty years.
Sherry loves her job where she helps physically and mentally handicapped individuals to have day program with art and music along with daily care. She also lives by the mantra of doing one good deed a day. Sherry tells us that it could be a small gesture of opening a door for someone to something monumental as long as it's one a day. She said that doing these good deeds should be in memory to honor a loved one that has passed.
These are some of the reasons that Sherry Mann from Corinth is March's Hometown Hero.
County Waste has partnered with us to honor those in our communities who are truly making a difference.
