Grim Update on Upstate New York Man Missing since March
Body Found of Man Missing Since March
Police believe they recovered the body of an Upstate New York who was last seen leaving a gathering an hour south of Albany back on March 24th.
According to sources, the body recovered from the Hudson River near Waryas Park on Saturday is said to be that of National Guard Sergeant Nicolas Faust, 43, who went missing on March 24.
Sources state that the City of Poughkeepsie police and fire departments were dispatched to the park on Saturday, May 4, 2024, after they received a report of a body in the water.
"Nicolas Faust, age 43, formerly of Marlborough, and Peekskill NY, was reported missing by his family. Faust was last seen by friends in the Mill Street area of Poughkeepsie on March 24, 2024, around 2:00 a.m." NYSP Facebook
No Evidence of Foul Play
According to sources, State Police found his car in a parking lot behind a house on March 28m according to Faust's family, he was living in his car and worked as a certified nursing assistant at a nursing home in Peekskill. State Police say there is no evidence of foul play
Family Reaction
Last month, a Facebook post by a woman claiming to be Faust's sister added details about the disappearance. According to Elizabeth Helen Vasquez, Faust was last seen wearing scrubs or cargo pants and was driving a silver Nissan Rogue with duct tape on his front bumper.
