Authorities Charge Upstate New York Teacher Known as “Major Hands”
Prostitution Parties
A former upstate New York teacher has been indicted after allegedly hosting prostitution parties at his home for several years, and while it didn't happen in the immediate Capital Region, it's frightening to think that this man was employed by a New York school as recently as January.
According to federal authorities, Eric Simpson, 66, of Macedon, which is located about 3 hours west of Albany, is accused of running what investigators described as a prostitution enterprise from his residence between 2021 and late 2025.

Worked as a Tech Teacher
Simpson, who previously worked as a technology teacher in the North Rose-Wolcott Central School District, is alleged to have organized gatherings where commercial sex workers were invited to perform sexual acts for paying clients.
Federal prosecutors say Simpson allegedly promoted and organized the events via email, sending invitations and lists identifying which workers would attend the parties. The indictment also claims that attendees were instructed to negotiate payments directly with the women, who were described in messages as “donations for services.”
Authorities also say that Simpson charged an admission fee, arranged room accommodations for guests, and instructed visitors to park away from the home to avoid drawing attention.
"Major Hands" was Commissioned in Troy
Simpson, who reportedly used the nickname “Major Hands,” is also a former member of the New York National Guard, where he served for nearly three decades, accordign to the New York Post.
During his military career, Simpson was deployed to Kuwait, Iraq, and Afghanistan, and later served as a commissioned officer in Rochester and Troy, before leaving the Guard in 2010, according to the article.
The North Rose-Wolcott Central School District confirmed Simpson resigned from his teaching position in January.
Simpson has been indicted on one federal charge of using interstate facilities to promote and manage a prostitution enterprise.
He was arraigned last week and pleaded not guilty to the charge.
