Although I am not an avid skier, I was surprised to learn that one of the local mountains has opened for business. They are the only ones so far to declare that ski season has begun. According to News 10 ABC, the ski season has begun at Vermont's Killington Resort. It is officially the 2019-20 winter season at the resort for skiers and snowboarders. They opened Sunday for Season Pass, Express Card, Beast 365, and Ikon pass holders. But today they are officially opened to all who wish to ski Killington.

Although we do not know what kind of winter or ski season we will have, Killington is confident that they can make the snow they need to start this early of a season. Each year, Killington offers season pass holders free lunch on opening day at their K-1 Cafe, Peak Lodge, and North Ridge Brat Haus to show their gratitude.

As long as the conditions permit, Killington will be open to the public for skiing and snowboarding for the season. To get conditions and more information click HERE.
