Remember the ice cream truck "Turf Wars" that got Gloversville national attention? If you don't the driver of the "Mr. Ding-A-Ling" ice cream truck filed a complaint against competitor, "Sno-Cone-Joe", saying that they were harassing him. I think right now that driver wishes that his rivals were his biggest problem.

It seems that Fulton County Sheriffs have arrested 53-year-old Philip Hollister, a Gloversville resident, for driving while intoxicated.

So how can you tell an ice cream truck driver may be drunk driving at noon? He almost crashes into an oncoming Sheriff's patrol car.  According to an update on WRGB he blew a .15 at the time of his arrest.

Most recent reports say that Hollister has already been fired from the "Mr. Ding-A-Ling" corporation.

When asked for a reaction to the arrest, the owners of "Sno-Cone-Joe" said, "We're not surprised and honestly this isn't the first time we've heard about Mr. Hollister drinking and driving. He accused us of harassing him and we'll have our day in court. Now the police have accused him of being drunk behind the wheel of his ice cream truck so it looks like now he'll have his."

Wow the little story from a little town that just wont seem to go away.
