I love watching the Little League World Series.  As a kid, I always dreamed my team out of National Little League in Albany would have a chance to play in Williamsport, PA at the LLWS, but even with very good teams, we were always stopped by our nemesis from Colonie. Still pains me to this day.  A local Little League team out of the Berkshires is becoming the darlings of the area - and quite possibly all of New England -  as they continue to mash their way towards Williamsport and right now, they're just one little win away!

With their 10-1 win on Wednesday against Coventry, R.I., in Bristol, Conn., the Pittsfield American Little League team advances to the finals of the New England Regional Championship game on Saturday.

The main ESPN channel will show Saturday's game live at 1 p.m and I know I'll be watching and rooting in this winner-take-all game.

The Little League World Series in Williamsport, PA goes from August 16th-26th and features a total of 16 teams.  8 of those teams coming from the United States, and 8 teams representing International countries.
