In my attempt to stop being a big fat fatty (yes that is a medical term) I have decided to run/walk in the Albany Rowing Centers Ice Breaker Challenge. I know a 5K isn't the biggest step towards fitness but it's the first for me and I'm equal parts excited and nervous.

You see I do the Turkey Trot every year with friends and family but this is one I am taking a little more seriously. The plan is for this to be the first of at least five 5k's this year each with a time better than the last. I'd love to see some friendly faces on the sidelines. So if you're out and about this Saturday morning come laugh, point and maybe even cheer for the fat guy.

I'll post my time no matter how slow it is Monday.
