Kim From Scotia: The June Hometown Hero Who Does It All
What doesn't June's Hometown Hero do? Kim Talbot from Scotia was just wrapping up the 2018 school year when we called her the other morning to talk to her about the nomination from a friend of hers. She was in the middle of serving breakfasts, packing lunches and arranging for underprivileged students of the Scotia-Glenville school district to have their necessary essentials. Listen to the phone call and you'll hear why Kim is June's Hometown Hero.
She volunteers a ton of her time as a Rotarian, mentor, and as founder of Team Talbot, she assists people in need. Kim took a few minutes out of her very busy morning to share with us what she does. She told us about a moment she had recently when a little boy she provided for expressed how thankful he was for the simplest things, putting everything into perspective. It seemed to make all her effort worth it. Thank you Kim for all you do to shape and mold and provide for the young children in the Scotia-Glenville school district. Congratulations on being selected as our June Hometown Hero.
County Waste has partnered with us to honor those in our communities who are truly making a difference.
