2003- U.S. Marine Josh Gracin is eliminated from the competition on "American Idol." Although he makes it to the top four, he still earns a recording contract in Nashville. In addition, he becomes the first contestant to have a No. 1 Country hit with the song 'Nothin' To Lose.'
1994- Clint Black slides to No. 1 on the Billboard country chart with 'Good Run Of Bad Luck.' The song is featured on the "Maverick" movie soundtrack.
1949- Hank Williams makes his first appearance at No. 1 on the Billboard country chart with 'Lovesick Blues.'
