Jimmie Johnson Wins At Charlotte – NASCAR Update

Charlotte Motor Speedway proved no problem for Jimmie Johnson this week!

Jimmie Johnson took the checkered flag this week at Charlotte Motor Speedway, advancing him to the round of 8 in The Chase.  The race did present problems for other Chase drivers.  Here’s the breakdown:

Logano blew a right front tire on Lap 117 then later in the race damaged his car after a hard hit to the outside wall.  He Finished 36th. Harvick's  car lost power. Austin Dillon and Chase Elliott got caught up in a wreck with 10 other drivers. Martin Truex Jr. tapped the bumper turning Dillon’s car into the infield wall. Hamlin’s engine blew up while he was in second place. (I feel like that happens to him a lot)

Charlotte, Kansas and Talladega make up the 3 races for the round of 12 to see who advances.

Those 12 are: Jimmie Johnson, Matt Kenseth, Kyle Busch, Brad Keselowski, Kurt Busch, Carl Edwards, Martin Truex Jr.d, Denny Hamlin, Austin Dillon, Chase Elliott, Joey Logano, Kevin Harvick.
