It's become a trend of sorts as yet another country music artist has left their record label. In the last 6 months or so Alan Jackson, Chuck Wicks, Martina McBride, Montgomery Gentry and Craig Morgan have all said goodbye to their record labels. You can now add James Otto to that list as he has parted ways with Warner Music.

James told his fans via twitter about the split:

I have truly enjoyed the time I have spent working with Warner Brothers Records. The staff is comprised of many talented individuals that I am proud to also call my friends. No worries Ottomaniacs, this is not the last you've seen/heard from me. Just a new chapter.

James signed with Warner Music in 2008 where he released 2 albums, "Sunset Man", which included the number one hit "Just Got Started Lovin' You" and "Shake What God Gave Ya" which had the tunes "Groovy Little Summer Song" and "Soldiers and Jesus".

I've been a fan of James for some time now, being a fan of Big and Rich, I first noticed James music as part of the MuzikMafia. He is a great talent, and if you saw him last year at Northern Lights, you know what I am talking about. The best Country Soul singer around!

So  how many James Otto fans do we have in the Capital Region? What's your Favorite James Otto tune?
