The Albany FireWolves made a statement to their fans on Tuesday morning: they're not going anywhere.

As announced by the team, they have signed a six-year agreement, an initial three-years followed by a three-year extension, to continue to play their home games at MVP Arena in downtown Albany, NY.

The "initial three years" will begin with the 2024-25 season, and the entire deal will run through the 2029-30 campaign.

The FireWolves stated that this six-year agreement solidifies the FireWolves’ commitment to Albany and to providing the best professional sports experience for the community.

This agreement comes at the perfect time, as Albany was one of the best teams in the National Lacrosse League last season. After winning just three games the season prior, Albany finished the regular season with a record of 11-7, third-best in the entire league.

They advanced to the NLL Finals for the first time in franchise history, and seem poised to do it again in 2024-25.

The FireWolves will open the 2024-25 NLL season on Saturday, November 30 at MVP Arena as they begin their journey toward the NLL Championship.
