
Pair Charged After Wellness Check at Stewart’s Shop in Saratoga County
Couple at Stewart's Wasn't There for Ice Cream
It appears this couple from Fonda wasn't at Stewart's trying their new seasonal ice cream flavors. A routine wellness check at a Saratoga County Stewart’s Shop led to the arrest of two individuals from Fulton County.
According to the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to the Stewart’s Shop on Northline Road in Milton around 11:10 a.m. Thursday, after reports of two people being unresponsive inside a vehicle in the parking lot.

Both Found Unresponsive Inside the Vehicle
Authorities say Katrina A. Fonda, 36, and Christopher A. Fonda, 46, both of Broadalbin, were found inside the vehicle.
Following an investigation, Katrina Fonda was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the 4th degree, a class C felony, along with 7th degree possession, a misdemeanor. She is accused of knowingly possessing a narcotic drug weighing one-eighth ounce or more, according to the SCSO.
Christopher Fonda was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the 7th degree, also a misdemeanor.

Not Bail Eligible
Katrina Fonda was arraigned in Milton Town Court and released on her own recognizance. Christopher Fonda was issued an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
Under current New York State law, the charges are not eligible for bail, the report states.
The investigation remains ongoing.
