All year long, food banks around the world need our help. But around the holiday season more so than ever. We know the basics that they need because it's the one thing always stated: non-perishable food items. But, you know in your every day life, you need more than just that.

So what are some of the items that food banks need but don't typically ask for?

I reached out to the Regional Food Bank of Northeastern New York for some answers and they graciously obliged.

They suggest a holiday dinner box with items. Here's an example for Thanksgiving:
