This is just so so sad.  I don't know what else to say. Ari Schultz from Massachusetts, the most adorable and brave 5 year old you'll ever see, died on Friday from complications due to his heart transplant back in March.  This amazing little man was a huge Red Sox fan and passed away listening to his beloved baseball team. Videos that his parents made before he passed away are simply heartbreaking.  This kid is tougher than I'll ever be.

So innocent and sweet and I'm at my desk trying not to bawl my eyes out.  The look on little Ari's face (while he's swinging a bat) as his parents told him that he might have a heart match is simply breathtaking.  All this little boy wants in that moment was to be a boy; play ball, practice his golf swing shoot hoops, go to Sox games and run around the yard.  That was back in March, and in June, Ari finally was able to go home with his new heart and be a boy.

On Friday night, while Ari was listening to his beloved Red Sox on the radio, he started having heart complications and trouble breathing. This incredible little man who endured so much over the first 5 years of his life, had no more fight left in him.  It was at that exact time when God needed a brave 5 year old with a smile that could light up all of downtown Boston and a heart the size of the Green Monster to join his team. Ari Schultz answered the call.   May this little angel rest in peace.
